About

"By all accounts I know of ghosts – and let me tell you, I’m speaking from experience here – they shouldn’t exist."

Book 1: Ghost Walk

Maaya is a teenager who can see ghosts, and she and her three friends get by on the poor streets of Sark by sealing away troublesome spirits under the direction of a deceptive, malicious wealthy man. Accompanying them is a ghost named Saber, Maaya's long-time friend. Maaya doesn't concern herself with world affairs, focusing only on staying alive in a superstitious town that ignores her at best and wants her dead at worst — but after an entire street of people goes missing without a trace and whispers of war begin to reach her ears, Maaya decides it's time to investigate.

Maaya soon finds herself in over her head as she confronts a wave of faceless ghosts that terrify even the dead. Driven on by rumors of a mysterious weapon that can make entire cities vanish in an instant, she and Saber start their journey across the world to find out how to stop it. She begins to find new friends, powerful allies, and even love, all while being pursued by new and more dangerous enemies.

The closer she gets, however, the more she realizes that the ghosts she's after may not just be mindlessly killing innocents — and that they may be chasing her instead.

Book 2: Moon and Flame

Four years before Maaya Sahni and Adelaide Sol joined forces to take on the greatest threat of the century, they lived on opposite sides of the world fighting very different battles.

For Maaya, despite struggling to get by on the streets of Sark with the constant companionship of hunger and fear, there is nothing she hates more in the world than ghosts. Born with the ability to see them in a town that still kills people for perceived witchcraft, she blames their mischief for her woes and refuses all of their attempts at friendship — until one ghost in particular won't leave her alone.

Adelaide is born into a family that seems to care more for its reputation than its children. Her parents have already decided her career for her, hoping to make her the new face of their family business, but she struggles with the strict routines and lessons they've planned for her. Unable to find the answers she seeks from others, she decides to take matters into her own hands. Aided by a crew of strangers with questionable histories and powers she's struggling to control, she sets off to discover herself and find acceptance.

Despite the distance between them, both girls take on equally thrilling challenges, make new friends, and learn invaluable lessons about themselves as they struggle to make their way in an unforgiving world.

Halloween Novella: Ghost Ship

Almost a year after the events of Ghost Walk, autumn has descended on the beach-side city of Levien. It's almost Halloween, which means decorations are going up, the leaves are turning, children are dressing up in costume, and the city's ghosts are getting a kick out of everyone dressing up as the dead.

Maaya and Adelaide are busy preparing for a special Halloween trip out at sea, but before they can get too far, two strangers arrive at their door claiming they have a job that only the girls can do. The strangers explain there have been stories of a shipwreck far out at sea around which sailors report hearing strange noises and voices. Some even say their ships have been damaged, pointing to what look like long claw marks on their ships' hulls.

With this new danger threatening sailors in the world they just saved, Maaya and Adelaide take the LSV Windfire — along with some new guests — to investigate. As they do, they begin to realize the situation they're in seems awfully and frighteningly familiar.
