"Look at you. A demon with weak Sovereignty. A siren with no voice. A gorgon who couldn't paralyze an insect. A necromancer who can't control her powers. A son of the Fates whose visions are all wrong. And... a human."
Book 1: The Fairfield Frightless and the Mournfall Conspiracy
Welcome to Fairfield High... where the misfits are those who AREN'T monsters.
As the lone human attending Fairfield High, Anastasia Graves is used to not fitting in. But things get even more awkward when she's assigned to a senior project with a bunch of Frightless, misfit monsters whose powers don't quite work right—among them a siren with no voice, a beautiful gorgon with a powerless gaze, and a seer whose prophecies are sketchy at best.
They soon realize they were specially chosen to travel to the human world, but excitement soon turns to confusion and even terror as they discover a plot to take over the town of Beckton, which seems to be spearheaded by someone with connections to Fairfield High—someone who isn't human.
Before they know it, Anastasia and her outcast friends find themselves less concerned about passing grades and more with uncovering the mystery they've unwittingly stepped into... and with making it back to school alive.
Book 2: The Fairfield Frightless and the Midnight Murders
Anastasia thought her biggest problem would be picking a major. Now she's trying to track down a murderer at an elite university before they strike again. But the answer to this mystery might go as far back as the ancient gods. She never thought she'd have to brush up on her mythology to stop a serial killer.
After a simple school project turned into a fight for her life, Anastasia Graves is ready to focus on her future. When she receives an invitation to check out one of the world’s most elite universities, she feels like things might finally be going her way. Her excitement at visiting the school is marred only by an ominous vision by a son of The Fates that tells her she must accept the invitation no matter what.
Anastasia is joined by Laurent the demon, October the necromancer, and Didrixe, the beautiful gorgon she has fallen head over heels for. Soon after she and her friends arrive, however, a string of murder-suicides rocks the campus. Campus officials, led by the indomitable demon Ceridwyn Sharpe, try and fail to track down the culprit, presenting the possibility that the school might close completely. Anastasia is once again eager to help solve the mystery… but not everyone shares her confidence.
Her struggle to find her future collides with another fight for survival and a romance she never expected. With new friends and familiar tensions at her side, Anastasia finds herself pulled into the middle of an ancient conflict as she tries to stop whoever is behind this before she and her loved ones meet the same fate.
Book 3: The Fairfield Frightless and the Children of the Lake
A summer vacation at a beautiful lakeside cabin sounds like a great way to relax. At least until a legend about an eldritch god of vengeance starts to become more than just a story.
Anastasia Graves and her friends travel to the quaint tourist town of Bellshire nestled high in the mountains to celebrate their high school graduation. During dinner at an old inn they are told a legend of an ancient creature that sleeps within Bellshire Lake, one that feeds off anger and could spell the doom of the world if it were ever to reawaken.
At first, Anastasia appreciates it for the tall tale it is. But when strange things start happening around the cozy lake town, she starts to fear the story might be more than just something used to scare tourists. To complicate matters further, her attention is divided between two mischievous sirens who seem a little too interested in her, as well as a surly necromancer who watches her from afar.
As the lake becomes more agitated and the bodies of missing townsfolk start to wander the streets at night, Anastasia steels herself to solve yet another mystery. But when the truth of the legend finally comes to light, she realizes she might be up against something far more deadly than she ever imagined.
