How's everyone handling it? I hope you guys are staying safe. The office I work at shut down so we're all working from home except for a few core people, which is kind of nice, but my boyfriend works in food service so he's still going to work every day. We're also low on toilet paper and everyone's being assholes about it send help.

I get to WFH as well, which isn't really that big of a shift for me since I worked from home for nearly a decade prior to this so I guess business as usual. With the TP shortage I've gone back to using a tabo & will prob get a bidet later in the month. I do need groceries though and I'm kinda nervous about it since I'm in the at risk group due to asthma and pre-existing conditions.

At home, things are tentatively ok. We do a lot of Costco shopping so we were pretty well stocked with most things we need before this all started. Work is crazy though. I'm an ER nurse and the panic buying has created a shortage of a lot of the things we need. We're limited on masks for example, right now we're allowed one every four hours. It's been honestly stressful and at first things were ok but as time goes on I'm not handling it as well mentally. I basically just work and come home and sleep. Both the people I live with are having their hours cut hard too so that's hurting.

Just as a general message I feel obligated to say the usual stuff about washing your hands but also, if you're still going out for fun and get togethers or to bars and things, please don't. Social isolation sounds boring but it's really important so we don't get overwhelmed. I mean, we're already struggling with supplies, and if/as things get worse, we'll need more beds, more equipment we're already short on, and doctors are already having to make very very hard decisions due to having more patients than available equipment. Slowing this down will help us all function and keep more people safe and getting the care they need. Because also, don't forget, we have all the people we normally handle as well, and we don't want a bunch of new covid cases on top of that. Whether it's your shopping or your activities you do for fun, this isn't all about you, this is about everyone. You can literally save lives by staying home. Even if you're healthy and won't likely have much trouble for it, we need to slow it down.

Sorry nurse rant over. :D Just please take this seriously guys.

It's a struggle. My family is going to be fine, but a lot of things are shutting down or have already been shut down. It's taken a lot of people by surprise. I'm doing a lot of work remotely for the time being which I'm really not used to and I don't think I like it lol. My husband and I are playing games and watching a lot of TV together. It's fun, but I am getting some cabin fever.

Dude, we're still having such a hard time finding toilet paper. And eggs. We're managing, but it really sucks. Are any of you having any more luck or has it just got worse?

No TP here. Eggs yes but no flour or yeast. :/ Groceries are moderately back to normal with a few things being swapped out here and there.

It mostly just TP, paper towels, flour, and yeast that people are hoarding.

I ended up getting infected which isn't a huge surprise but it is kicking my butt. I haven't needed to go to the hospital and sickness tends to hit me pretty hard anyway but it's rough going. I'm mostly sleeping and waiting for it to be over. Honestly the emotional toll is harder, I'm in the same house as my wife and I can't see her and I just feel completely alone and miserable physically and otherwise. I've completely lost track of time and everything lol. I'll be ok eventually but I'm not having a good time.

What really really makes me worry is I'm seeing that a lot of states are managing the curve because of the stay at home orders, and I've started to hear people say "Not as many people got infected as we thought, told you it wasn't a big deal" and I want to scream.
